Frightened Rabbit – “State Hospital”

The Selkirk, Scotland boys are back with a new tune called, “State Hospital.” Despite having been around since 2006, Frightened Rabbit has experienced a slow ascent towards ‘household name-ship.’ Along the way they’ve acquired a cult following along with heaps of critical acclaim. They made a track in 2010 with Craig Finn of The Hold Steady (which may only be interesting to Minnesota-natives/Hold Steady fans), they’ve released a live album and recorded a Christmas song… The point is these guys have been around the block a time or two, as is apparent is their newest single. They know what they are doing and it’s just as good as the first time we heard them. And so, the ascent continues.
