Band of Horses – “Knock Knock”
After being absent from the MTIB scene since early 2010, Band of Horses is back in grand fashion with a new single and a reason to put a big ‘X’ on your calendar. This week, the group has finally set the release date of their much anticipated new album, Mirage Rock, as well as the track list found here. The album is set to drop September 18th and a pre-order on iTunes is going to score you a nifty little bonus track by the name of “Ego Nightmare”.
If this news hasn’t yet given the casual fan a reason to get excited then this next bit surely will. On their latest effort, the band worked with hall of fame producer Glyn Johns. Now I realize he may not be in the front of your rock n’ roll Rolodex so let me get you caught up. His resume boasts the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Eric Clapton. After reading these credentials it is easy to see this guy knows what he is doing when it comes to making a big time album.
So, while you are waiting for your personal copy of the album to fall into your pretty little fingers, check out their latest single “Knock Knock” below. It’s sure to be an ear pleaser with its mix of steady drums, background harmonies, and hand clappin’. Cheers.
