Robot Music!!

This week the music is being brought to you by the most badass wizard of all-time, Samuel L. Jackson. He’s going to take you through all the remixes, womps, synth, and every muthafuckin drop in these muthafuckin tunes.

Samuel enjoys his relaxing music, but what he enjoys even more is when that music is remixed and given that house feel he craves. Given the recent remix contest for Temper Trap’s song “Trembling Hands”, and Benny Benassi throwing his own version into the ring, I found the perfect fit. This remix features a huge chunk of the original but then adds a sexy house beat that I am a huge sucker for. It’s quite the beautiful song.

Most don’t know but Nick Fury has a soft spot for Imogen Heap. Fortunately, Sound Remedy just did a remix of “Hide and Seek”. I hadn’t heard a good remix of this song for a few years so this comes as a nice surprise. It starts with a very glitchy feel to it but then later on into the tune we get a good dose of dubstep.

Now if you think any less of him for that soft side this makes up for it. This aggressive tune “Search and Destroy” by Rockman gives a grimy metallic sounding synth that makes you feel like you are the one searching and destroying.

The gritty synth work and high register melodic lines in this remix by Bassnectar lead up to an incredible drop that actually lets you know it’s dropping. This is yet another huge track from him and begs to be played at ridiculously high volumes.

Another name that you should be familiar with is Butch Clancy. Butch is extremely under-rated in my opinion and shows it with this new tune “Lonely”. Crafting together vocal samples, womps of all registers, and a exceptional melody, this got my attention really quick.

Lastly, I have a live set produced by DJ Solo that he did during the Electric Forest Festival. It starts off with some certain people looking to smeeerrrk a berrrwl but quickly turns into a Farmers commercial. The set contains a lot of great artists like Diplo, Flosstradamus, CRNKN, Vaski, and Knife Party and many great remixes. Enjoy the free download and the set list that’s offered at the soundcloud page.
