Brother Ali – “Stop the Press”
In my mind the more emotion invested in a song, the better it is. I find that this philosophy is most often fulfilled when I listen to the Rhymesayers. This time it happens to come from one of my favorite rappers, Brother Ali. He puts so much dedication into everything he does and it really shows in his songs. “Stop the Press” is his first single off of his upcoming album Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color. In it he discusses losing BK One as his DJ, his father dieing, and about getting the news about Mike aka Eyedea. He also talks about the struggles with his family, and how touring can put stress on his marriage. In my eyes it’s great to reflect on the good and the bad, it shows you care, and that’s why I love Brother Ali.
