Passion Pit – “Take A Walk”
From the band that brought you the electro-pop enchantments of Manners comes a new single about the strain of immigration, taxes and other economic struggles. But it isn’t a sad song, it’s a make-the-best-of-it song featuring Michael Angelakos singing in an atypical non-falsetto. “Take A Walk” is the first single off the band’s upcoming album, Gossamer (set to be released 07/24/2012) and although it doesn’t have some obscure Gaelic sample or get you on your feet the way “Little Secrets” does, it is the perfect reintroduction to the band. Swelling from synths and xylophones into a head-bobbing bounce that will have every Passion Pit fan smiling. I could not be more excited for July 24th this year.
