Mystery Jets – “Someone Purer”

“Someone Purer” is a slow-building, reflection on life that finds answers in rock & roll. Answers that come in sporadic, violent fits instead of  conveniently timed revelations, and rock & roll that doesn’t just happen, but has to be worked towards, and built upon.

Very few can just jump into rock and roll. You’ve got to tease it: Dangle the carrot, press the slow-burn. Then, with your listener in a melancholy state of mind, you unleash hell. Blasts of machine-gun guitar, explosive drumming, and arena-styled chanting. Mystery Jets get it, and you can hear it in “Someone Purer.”
