Whistle Peak – “Wings Won’t Behave”

First, this one hit my inbox the other day and I really enjoyed it. Then I decided to post about it. Then I realized I had no idea what I wanted to say about it, by way of defining their sound etc. So I’m gonna borrow a particularly apt description from kickkicksnare: ”Whistle Peak, from Louisville, Ky., is pop music in disguise and experimentation at its core. It is music that takes you on a journey of the imagination, inhabiting fantastical lands while drawing from life experience. It is the particular phrased in the universal. It is children’s stories told by grown men. The music is upbeat and hypnotic, pulling you closer with each listen and surprising you with small amulets layered beneath continuous melody.” I like that. I also like this track. Listen to “Wings Won’t Behave” below, then go check out Half Asleep Under Echo Falls (Feb 14th) which is their upcoming 2nd album. Enjoy!
